Sizing John wins Gold Cup

Sizing John, ridden by Robbie Power and trained by Jessica Harrington, drove home to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

He finished two and three-quarter lengths ahead of Minella Rocco (18-1) in Cheltenham showpiece, with a local river (7-2) third. Lizzie Kelly, the first woman to race for 33 years, was dethroned for two people in the second fence by Tea. The 3-1 favorite Djakadam push the penultimate fence lead and finally the fourth place, while the beloved Cue card has three fences from home. Harrington and power to win the festival in the style finished by the last race, the Johnny Henderson Grand-Year Challenge Cup Handicap Chase, with Rock the World (1/10).
