Medical shopkeepers are calling for strike after talks with Punjab govt

The owners of pharmaceutical companies have agreed to end their strike after reaching an agreement with the Punjab government .(Lahore)

Law Minister (Rana Sanaullah) at a press conference along with representatives of pharmaceutical companies here, said that a committee on monitoring changes was formed in the Drug Act 1976.
We want to eliminate counterfeit medicines from Punjab. It is our responsibility to ensure the provision of high-quality medicines to people, “said Health Minister (Khawaja Salman Rafique).
Government led talks with pharmaceutical companies earlier than well, said the Justice Minister, adding that negotiations with stakeholders on the issue of billing often take place.

The holders of pharmaceutical companies and medical businesses in Punjab protested against the recent changes in the drugs law, which are aimed at tightening the regulations for medical transactions.
